October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer risks, the value of screening and early detection, and treatment options available to women and men who are diagnosed with breast cancer.

Fern Carness, one of my very first speakers I worked with, was a trailblazer in breast cancer survivorship and champion for women’s health. In her honor, I recognize all of our outstanding cancer survivor speakers, and the good work they do in the world to inspire and encourage those who follow them.
