The Negativity Remedy: Unlocking More Joy, Less Stress, and Better Relationships Through Kindness
We’re all pretty nice people, right? It’s all those other people who are the problem.
Sure, occasionally we’re tempted to gossip or indulge in a little justified road rage… or snap at a spouse… or scream at our kids… but if everyone else would just get with the program, we wouldn’t be this way!
Maybe the trouble isn’t with all those other people who aggravate us. Maybe we’re the problem — specifically, the way we react to inconveniences, accidents, and just plain everyday life with negative words, thoughts and actions.
Because the truth is, when we stop focusing on how we’re being affected and start responding in kind ways, something remarkable happens: we actually feel happier ourselves.
With humor, compassion and encouragement, Nicole Phillips draws on scientific research and real-life examples to help us recognize unhelpful negative thought patterns, show kindness toward others even when we don’t feel like it, and discover how one little change actually changes everything.

Nurses & Kindness: Seeing, Listening, and Healing With Your Heart
Kindness is Contagious
What if there really were a secret to happiness well within our grasp? Perhaps there is!
We often think of kindness as something that flows from our surplus. If we have no extra time, extra energy, or extra resources, we ask, “How can I possibly give to others when I don’t have enough for myself?”
In her Kindness is Contagious speaking presentation, Nicole explores the chain reaction that happens within our bodies when we lead with kindness.
While it seems like kindness should be entirely altruistic, study after study proves that its greatest benefits are actually in store for the giver.
Kindness is Courageous
What happens when you step out of your comfort zone and live life courageously kind?
From spending childhood Saturdays in a prison visiting her mom’s husband, to experiencing the joy that comes with forgiveness, to fighting breast cancer with kindness, Nicole loves to share the transformation that happened in her own life when she made a career out of writing about Kindness– and living life courageously kind!
The Power of a Brave and Kind Workplace
We have all heard it’s important to be kind to one another, but does kindness really matter? In The Power of a Brave and Kind Workplace, Nicole shares how your employees can feel happier and work smarter by focusing on being kind to one another.
In this presentation, your team will learn specific actions to:
*Stop workplace negativity in its tracks
*Trigger the release of four feel-good chemicals in the body
*Train the brain through acts of kindness
*Develop patterns at work that make kindness a habit
*Say Yes to kindness and No to negativity
