"Holy Cow, this woman is hilarious on and off stage. I have been so fortunate and honored to have had Nancy perform at both of my BoldHer Conferences. The crowd loved her humor and authentic conversations during the conference. I absolutely recommend Nancy!" -- Susan Vernicek, CEO Identity Magazine
Women's Health Event Comedian
If laughter is the best medicine, then award-winning women’s health comedian Nancy Witter offers the best prescription for women’s health and wellness audiences. Her hilarious, insightful, unique talks both entertain and empower women. She brings her experiences as a Certified Life Coach and the author of Who’s Better Than Me? A Guide to Living Happily Ever After, to her memorable, life-enhancing programs.
“Who’s Better Than Me?” is how Nancy Witter wants every woman to feel about herself and her life. Nancy says “Life is hard enough, so we need every bit of confidence and self-respect we can muster. I don’t care if you just parallel parked into a great parking spot, received your PhD in Archeology, got 20% off a great pair of shoes, or just gave birth to triplets. After each one of these events, large and small, you should roll your eyes upward and with a sly grin say to yourself ‘Who’s is better than me?’”
Growing up in very large Irish family, and struggling as a working single mother for 20 years, gave Nancy all the material she needed to sustain her throughout her comedy career. She used it as a way to help her cope as she struggled to balance a full-time job at a bank, and build a successful comedy and speaking career. It also gave her the passion to help women who have similar struggles in life. So much so that when Nancy turned 50 she enrolled at NYU and obtained her Professional Certification in Life Coaching.
During Nancy’s long standing comedy career she has won three New York City MAC Awards (Metropolitan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) for Outstanding Female Comedian, and a MAC award for her one woman show “Dignity Check Please!” She was one of five finalists in Nick at Nite’s Funniest Moms in America. Nancy has performed in sold out theaters across the country while touring for five years with the hit comedy trio “Mama’s Night Out.”
Nancy’s talks combine the magic of motivation with informative content along with her wit and wisdom. Nancy helps women find their personal power and get re-inspired in their lives. Her talks offer an insightful and entertaining look at fear, resistance, change and choices. Nancy encourages women to embrace the importance of taking care of themselves. From mothers to nurses, from wives to teachers, women need to learn to recharge in order to have the energy to serve others. This is critically important and often overlooked. Laughter keeps the energy high, and the attention and retention at an optimal level. Those who see Nancy, leave feeling empowered, energized, happy and hopeful about their lives.

Nancy artfully employs her comedic skills in conjunction with her life coaching expertise to deliver a message about the importance of taking care of oneself in order to have the energy to serve others. Nancy also uses personal stories to demonstrate the power of a positive attitude. As Oscar Wilde once wrote, “Between the optimist and the pessimist, the difference is droll. The optimist sees the doughnut, the pessimist see the hole.”

Who’s Better Than Me?
This is a talk in conjunction with a book signing. The book entitled Who’s Better Than Me? A Guide to Living Happily Ever After, exposes some of the simple truths about learning to live happily ever after. Even Abraham Lincoln said that “Folks are usually about as happy as they make their minds up to be.”
This book is filled with real life stories of every day struggles and personal triumphs. “Who’s Better Than Me?” is how Nancy Witter wants every woman to feel about herself and her life. Life is hard enough, so we need every bit of confidence and self-respect we can muster. Whether you just parallel parked into a great parking spot, received your PhD in archeology, got 20% off a great pair of shoes, or just gave birth to triplets, after each one of these events, large and small, Nancy wants every woman to roll her eyes upward and with a sly grin say to herself “Who is better than me?”
Dignity Check Please!
Nancy’s acclaimed talk “Dignity Check Please” started out as a NYC MAC Award winning one woman show. It is about women discovering the joy of self-acceptance. The first step is to realize that we are all perfectly imperfect. As Salvador Dali once said “Have no fear of perfection, you’ll never reach it.” Trying to be perfect is like a cat trying to catch its own tail… a lot of wasted energy that only serves to make the cat feel like a failure. Nancy encourages the audience to find comedy in their catastrophes by showing them her own. Nancy’s mission is to empower women to accept themselves and give them permission to be imperfect. It is only then that they will find the confidence to create future they’ve always wanted. Strength, courage, and confidence is a powerful combination and once you have that nothing can stand in your way. Your audience will laugh and be inspired as they realize perfection can be poison and “Dignity” can be funny!
All Grown Up… Now What Do I Do?
For many women growing up is equated with growing old. One is a state of being the other is a state of mind. Hitting middle age can be a traumatic event for most women. Nancy Witter sees it as the perfect time in life, where the opportunity to be who you’ve always wanted to be is available for the first time. Only by having the advantage of years can we see how much can be learned from failure, fear and discouragement. There is even more to be learned from persevering, believing in one’s dreams, and finding faith in oneself. Nancy uses her vast comedic skills coupled with her Life Coaching skills to entertain while she delivers an important message about finding the courage to create the life you always wanted. Her mantra is “If not now, when?” Taking the time to examine one’s life, and focus on one’s future, is the way to begin. When women leave this talk they will feel more empowered, and optimistic about their futures. This is an hour filled with laughter, hope, inspiration and encouragement. You will find out what you want to be now that you’re all grown up! It may seem impossible, but as Walt Disney once said, “It’s fun doing the impossible!” Come on let’s have some fun!
